Day 10

Day 10 was a day mainly for family time since this will be the last time we see my Brother, Sister in Law and my Niece and Nephew for awhile.  My Brother had planned a fairly extensive Motorcycle tour of Vancouver but a threatening sky put that on hold and as the day progressed other activities took over our time.

The day started earlier for some than others.  This is my niece Brookelyn who has apparently inherited her Fathers dislike for early/mid mornings.

After a nice day together as the day wound down my Brother figured we should try to get a portion of the tour he had in mind done so we geared up and headed out around 8pm.

Because the ride was done late evening photos were limited and a challenge from this point on.  Here's a quick snap of my Brother Don and my niece Brookelyn.

Our next stop was downtown Vancouver for a quick stop at one of the few steam clocks in existence around the world.

From downtown we headed out over the Lions Gate bridge, through North Vanciouver and onto Marine Drive to Whytecliff park.  Marine Dr. is an exceptionally beautiful area and the road itself is a sweet run of twisties that likely has the local constabulary regularly at odds with excited motorcycle riders.  I left some more Nomad floorboard scrapings on the road as we wound our way through!

From there it was back to Don's to start to prepare for our departure in the A.M. for Washington State and the rest of our journey.  The past nine days have been a lot of fun and exciting to see plenty of family we don't see often enough.  It was especially nice to get to do a little riding with my Brother.

A note to family and friends as of early in the A.M on June 20th my cell will be shut off after we cross the US border and only turned on for emergencies so any texts or calls will go unanswered until sometime in July when we return home.

Mileage covered today was 128.9 km of local riding bring our trip total to 2812.8 km.
